Letter from the President
Theme: To prosper and thrive as an Emory employee
How can we prosper and thrive as an Emory employee? This year, the Employee Council will spend time learning the fundamental qualities of living and leading with excellence as an Emory employee. Our monthly meetings will provide a time for Emory faculty, staff, students, and outside professionals that excel in the following core components to share and provide insight into supporting Emory’s Guiding Principle of striving for the highest degree of integrity:
Health, Wellness, Mindfulness, and Movement
Purpose and Vulnerability
Resilience and Adaptability
Creativity and Aptitude
Happiness, Compassion, and Benevolence
Emory as Place - How our place sustains us
Diversity and Inclusion
Nourishment: Food for Life
The focus of the Employee Council and their constituents will be to learn ways to continue the support of Emory’s Vision of “working collaboratively for positive transformation in the world through courageous leadership in teaching, research, scholarship, health care, and social action.”
I am looking forward to sharing this journey alongside all of you!
Deena Keeler, Employee Council President, 2017-18.
